Wreck Diving Instructor 2
Objectives
He is a wreck instructor with excellent wreck diving experience. He is competent and highly experienced in teaching second level diving. He has previously obtained the Wreck Diver Instructor 1 and 2* CMAS Instructor (or equivalent).
He has the skills and experience necessary to teach in classrooms, in open water, and in Zones 1 and 2, and can organize and lead WD1 and WD2 courses under his sole responsibility. He can also act as an assistant during WDI courses.
Training Admission Requirements
Minimum 20 years
2* CMAS, or equivalent, in "Active" status
Wreck Diving Instructor 1 CMAS, or equivalent, with at least:
- 300 open water dives, including
- 40 wreck dives, including 20 in Zone 2
- 15 wreck dives as a dive leader, including 10 in Zone 2
- 10 different wrecks
- 300 open water dives, including
- 40 wreck dives, including 20 in Zone 2
- 15 wreck dives as a dive leader, including 10 in Zone 2
- 10 different wrecks
Taught at least 1 course after obtaining the Wreck Diving Instructor 1 certification
Medical certificate of fitness for diving according to the general conditions
If necessary: successful entry assessment
Organization and duration of training
The instructor candidate's suitability for obtaining the Wreck Instructor Certificate 2 will be the result of a continuous assessment which serves to demonstrate the teaching capacity in the various subjects, both theoretical and practical, throughout the course. Before receiving the certificate, all required qualifications must be met, and the instructor candidate must demonstrate that they have the necessary skills to operate the activity safely and responsibly.
