Specialty Certificates for Wreck Instructor 1
He has the skills and experience necessary to teach in classrooms, in open water, and in Zone 1, and can organize and lead WD1 courses under his sole responsibility. He can also serve as an assistant during WD2 courses.
Training Admission Requirements
Minimum 19 years old
CMAS 1* instructor, or equivalent, in "Active" status
CMAS Wreck Diver Certificate 2, or equivalent, with at least:
- 250 open water dives, including
- 25 wreck dives, including 10 in Zone 2
- 10 wreck dives as a dive leader, including 5 in Zone 2
- 5 different wrecks
- 250 open water dives, including

Medical certificate of fitness to dive according to the general conditions
If required: successful entry assessment
Organization and Duration of the Training
The instructor candidate's ability to obtain the Wreck Instructor 1 certificate will be the result of ongoing assessment to demonstrate teaching skills in various theoretical and practical subjects throughout the course. Before receiving the certificate, all required qualifications must be met, and the instructor candidate must have demonstrated that they have the necessary skills to conduct the activity safely and responsibly.
